another reason i am beside my self excited for this weekend? –my rug comes home!!
here is my rug on the crate & barrel catalogue as is has looked for the past 9 months i have stalked it online.
it is the lighter one in the picture. i will gleefully be picking up an 8 x 10 for our tiny living room (it will fit exactly wall to wall) and a 4 x 6 for the bed room! ...sigh* :)
i can wait to get it home & dig my toes in! chad has paolo (our mini), now lauren has spencer (our new rug)!
just felt the need to tell the world!
update: we just came home from seeing wall-e... and i want one! his little binocular eyes just melted me! :)

Well Hello! - Just so you know I happen to be the Dad! So you see my job has already been set out for me. Yeah! I take the role of advisor, encourager, mentor, supporter, cheer squad, you know typical stuff! So now that my daughter is grown and on her own I find that my purpose has been has shifted. So in the spirit of support and encouragement I make my first contribution to this auspicious blog!
Rick was in trouble. He forgot Valentine's Day. His wife was really angry. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in less than 10 seconds, AND IT BETTER BE THERE!!"
The next morning Rick got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the house.
She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
Rick has been missing since Friday.
